4: God's Heart-My Heart - What the Bible says about World Mission
Duration: 11 weeks
When was God's Heart for Mission first revealed? Was it at the time of the
'great commission' or do we find the idea in the Old Testament? Is it still
the greatest desire of His heart? Our study traces mission through the Bible,
and also looks at hindrances to mission today, how to be equipped for mission,
and how a missionary plus the home church can be a powerful team. This is a
dangerous study, as there is a personal challenge: 'What about Mission & Me?'
But if God's heart is for mission, and Christ's heart is for mission, we can't
escape the obvious question. 'Is my heart for mission too, or am I evading
the issue?'
